This tour is popular with our clients as we stay in one of our favourite hotels in the resort of Torquay – The Headland Hotel. This holiday we include visits to Bicton Park set in sixty acres of gardens, travel on a steam train through scenic countryside and enjoy an afternoon tea on a scenic river cruise on the River Exe.
Day 1
We leave this morning from your joining point and travel via the motorway to the English Riviera and the resort of Torquay arriving late afternoon at the hotel in time to settle in before our evening meal.
Day 2
This morning we travel the short distance to Paignton where we join our steam train for a scenic ride through the Devon countryside to Kingswear, where on our arrival we catch the ferry across to the riverside town of Dartmouth. After a short break to explore the town we join our coach for the journey back to Torquay and our hotel.
B, DDay 3
After breakfast the day is free to explore Torquay or just relax at the hotel.
Day 4
After breakfast we join the coach and travel to Bicton Park where you can explore its sixty acres of historic gardens along with its greenhouse, palm house, museum and take a ride around the grounds on its narrow gauge railway. In the afternoon we travel to Exmouth where we join our boat for a cruise along the River Exe enjoying an afternoon tea before returning to our coach.
B, DDay 5
After breakfast we say farewell to our hotel and Torquay and return back to your joining points.
