The Royal Mint Factory Experience

This day trip offers an unprecedented view of the Royal Mint. We will be met by our Visitor host who will take you through their security checks and into the Pre-Show area where we are given an introduction to the Royal Mint before walking over to their factory experience.

Our Visitor host will take us into one of the manufacturing areas to discover how blank pieces of metal are made before being struck to become coins. From the viewing area you can see where thousands of coins are produced, 24 hours a day.

Following the Factory experience we will be escorted to the self guided interactive Exhibition to explore the history of British coinage including rare items, followed by an opportunity to strike your own coin.

After the tour we have included lunch at the Royal Mint Cafe.

 

The visitor centre also has a gift shop.

Price Includes:>

 

• Return Coach Travel to and from your local joining points. (Estimated time of arrival back into Hereford is 17:00)

• A guided factory experience tour.

• Time to explore the visitor centre and interactive exhibition.

• After the tour you will have an included lunch.

 

 

Lunch Information

For the lunch included at the Royal Mint they have given us the following food options which we can choose from, they are:-

 

Sandwiches served with Fries with the following fillings:-

1. Egg Mayonnaise

2. Smoked Salmon & Cucumber

3 Coronation Chicken

OR

Jacket Potato with the choice of fillings:-

1. Butter

2. Beans & Cheese

3. Cheese

4. Coronation Chicken

For both options Vegan fillings are available on request.
