Enjoy a break to this part of North Wales and the majestic Snowdonia National Park. We include excursions on the Llanberis Lake narrow gauge railway, a trip to a local farm shop, traveling along the Welsh Highland railway, plus the main attraction of taking the train on the Snowdon Mountain Railway and savour the breath taking views from its summit.

Day 1

This morning we join our coach and travel towards our destination, there will be a lunch break on the way and we arrive late afternoon at our hotel where on our arrival the hotel will provide us with tea or coffee. There will be time to settle in before our evening meal.

Day 2

After breakfast we depart the hotel and join our coach for the drive to Bodnant Foods which opened in 2012. It is a development of traditional 18th century farm which concentrates locally sourced produce and includes a bakery, Dairy & Farm shop. Afterwards we travel to the pretty village of Betws-y-Coed where we make a short stop before continuing back to our hotel in Llanberis.

Day 3

After breakfast we travel the very short distance to the Llanberis lakeside, here we join our train for a return journey on the narrow gauge railway which travels along the lakeside. Afterwards we make the short distance to the Snowdon Mountain Railway Station where we join our train for the memorable return journey to its summit where we can savour its breathtaking views. (Journey time 2hr 30 mins). Upon our return to Llanberis you may use our coach if required, or you can walk the short distance back to our hotel.

Day 4

After breakfast we travel to Caernarfon where we join the Welsh Highland Railway for our journey through the spectacular Welsh countryside to the small town of Beddgelert where we leave the train. (Journey time 1hr30 min). There will be a short walk between the railway station and our coach before travelling back over the Pen-y-Pass to our hotel in Llanberis.

Day 5

We say farewell to our hotel after our breakfast and make our journey back to your joining point with a lunch stop enroute.

Hotel Details: The Royal Victoria Hotel, Llanberis

This three star historic hotel is situated within walking distance of the village centre. From its gardens there are superb views of the mountains and it even has its own castle in the grounds. The hotels’ facilities include a residents bar and separate lounge and there is a lift to the bedrooms on all floors. The bedrooms are ensuite with hairdryer and television along with tea/coffee making facilities.
