We stay on this popular island in the resort of Sandown with its sandy beach, promenade and zoo. We include excursions to Osborne House, which Queen Victoria called her Palace by the Sea, and we enjoy a trip around part of the island plus visiting the local Donkey sanctuary.
Day 1
We join our coach from your joining point and travel through the English countryside to Portsmouth or Southampton, with a lunch stop enroute. On our arrival at the ferry port we catch the ferry that takes us across the Solent before we continue by our coach to Sandown and the hotel.
DDay 2
This morning we travel to the railway which travels across the Isle of Wight countryside to the historic Osborne House holiday home of Queen Victoria. Here you can explore the ground floor rooms of the Palace plus the parkland which overlooks the Solent. On our return time permitting we may be able to stop at the pretty village of Godshill with its quaint thatched cottages.
B, DDay 3
Today is a free day to explore the resort of Sandown and its attractions.
B, DDay 4
After breakfast we travel along the "Military Road", which is the road that runs along the south coast of the island. We stop at the Isle of Wight Pearl for a short break before we continue onto Alum Bay well known for its coloured sand. Afterwards we stop for a short break in the town of Yarmouth before travelling across the island to our hotel.
Day 5
After breakfast we say farewell to our hotel and the Isle of Wight and cross the Solent back to the mainland, where we continue back to your joining point.

Accommodation Details: Trouville Hotel, Sandown
This three star hotel is located opposite the beach in the centre of Sandowns seafront offering views of the bay. The hotels facilities include a restaurant, bar and lounge area. All the bedrooms (except the single rooms) have a sea view, a television, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Served by a lift.
Please Note: The hotel does not have any ground floor rooms or 'disabled rooms'.
They have limited availability of walk in showers. Please note these rooms are located along the corridor, through 4/5 fire doors at the far end of the hotel so are not near the lift and are more difficult to access. They are also on the 2nd or 3rd floor. There is lift access to these floors.
