Enjoy autumn sunshine in Southern Ireland visiting Killarney and the Ring of Kerry. On this holiday you can experience a traditional jaunting car ride, a lake cruise and a tour of the Ring of Kerry as well. The hotel in Killarney will provide nightly entertainment.

Day 1

We join our coach and travel through south and west Wales to the port of Fishguard. Here we join the afternoon boat and travel to Rosslare. On arrival we continue to the town of Waterford and our hotel for our evening meal.

Day 2

This morning after breakfast there will be some free time in Waterford before we join our coach and continue across the Irish countryside with a possible stop at Cobh before we arrive in Killarney and our hotel.

Day 3

Today after breakfast it's our driver's day off so we are met by a local guide and taken on a scenic jaunting car ride through the local National Park to Loch Leane where we enjoy a boat cruise. Afterwards there will be a coach transfer back to the town where you will have some more free time.

Day 4

After breakfast we join our coach and begin our journey around the Ring of Kerry. Formed during the last ice age this picturesque peninsula with its traditional villages, lush countryside and ocean views, makes it a wonderful coastal drive. After an enjoyable day we travel back to our hotel in Killarney.

Day 5

After a leisurely breakfast we join our coach and enjoy a scenic tour of this precious Irish landscape on the Beara Peninsula, a bygone haunt of smugglers. During the day we will pause at the fishing port of Castletownbere located on the southern coast of the peninsula. We then continue to Glengariff where you may wish to take a boat trip to Garnish Island (extra cost payable locally) famous for its collection of plants and Italian landscaping. After the stop we travel back to our hotel.

Day 6

After a leisurely breakfast we join our coach and begin our journey across Ireland to our first stop at the Old Midleton Distillery, established in the 17th century and still producing today. We take a tour before enjoying a taste challenge. We continue to Waterford through Youghal and if time allows we follow the Copper Coast route between Dungarvan and Tramore offering superb ocean views. On our arrival in Waterford our hotel will provide an evening meal.

Day 7

We say an early farewell to the hotel and Ireland and travel back across the Irish Sea to Pembroke. On arrival we continue our journey back to your joining point.

Accommodation Details:

 

Overnight Stop: Dooleys Hotel, Waterford

This three star hotel located in the town centre and has a lift to most of the floors but with steps to access the bedrooms, and it does not have any ground floor rooms.

 

Main Stay: Killarney Towers Hotel, Killarney

This four star hotel occupies a prime position in the town, its facilities include an indoor swimming pool and Sauna. Its bedrooms are ensuite with a shower over the bath along with hairdryer and television. All rooms are served by a lift.

 

Travel Information:

All clients must carry a valid UK passport with at least six months validity left on the passport as of the date of our return journey. Any non-UK passport holders must check with the relevant embassies for entry and re-entry requirements.
