Attention all skilled drivers! We are assembling a team of bus drivers to make a meaningful impact in Hereford.

We’re going through an exciting transformation. We’re investing in our colleagues, to improve and expand services for our customers.

We’re looking for local people with great customer service skills to join us and help us keep our Herefordshire connected working at either our Hereford or Leominster depots.

 

As a key player in connecting people and places, you'll become an integral part of the local community, touching the lives of Herefordians with your exceptional driving skills.

 

You might not have considered driving a bus before and that’s ok!

If you’ve held a full UK driving licence for at least 6 months (with a maximum of 6 penalty points) and over 21, we’ll give you all the training and support you’ll need to become a qualified bus driver.

 

Training Bond

In respect of new starters who do not yet have a PCV licence, the Company will pay for your PCV Driver Training and associated licence, driving test and medical test costs.

If you leave the company within 2 years of gaining your licence, you will be liable for some or all of the costs associated with obtaining your licence.

The Costs are anticipated to be not more than £3,000, which is subject to change from time to time depending on the applicable costs incurred by the Company for your testing.

The Company will pay for medical assessments associated with the renewal of your licence and driving test fees.

You will be trained for a PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) Licence to DVSA standards

Ticket machine and ticket type training

Safety training so you can keep you, your passengers, and your colleagues safe

 

Shift Patterns

Unfortunately, this isn’t a 9 to 5 job! We work in an ever changing environment and need drivers who can react, adapt and be flexible – delivering for our customers is our number one priority.

You will be required to work 5 days (about 50 hours weekly) which will include weekends and possibly bank holidays.

Your shift pattern may include early, middle and late start times.

You will be employed to work on a shift system basis. Your hours of work and days of the week in which you are required to work may vary, in accordance with your roster.

Navigate your bus through the roads of Herefordshire, ensuring smooth and safe transportation for our diverse range of passengers.

Act as the friendly face of our business, delivering first-class customer service.

Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and camaraderie.

Take cash and contactless payments

Work and adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures.

 

Essential Requirements:

Possess a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points and the right to work in the UK.

Be at least 21 years of age.

A positive, outgoing attitude with excellent communication skills to engage and assist passengers from all walks of life, delivering exceptional customer service and driving ability.

A commitment to safety, punctuality, and teamwork, ensuring the smooth operation of our bus services.

National Express Coach Driver

Experienced PCV Coach driver is required to be part of our dedicated National Express team, delivering a quality service to their passengers. A smart and professional approach is needed to carry out your duties. Previous experience of either National Express or coach work would be advantageous although it is not essential as training will be given for the position. You will work on a rota system covering weekends, evenings and public holidays. A basic DBS/CRB check will be undertaken. Uniform is provided as well as familiarisation with both National Express and our own company's operation. Unfortunately no driving tuition is offered to gain a PCV licence, so only category D licence holders with valid Driver Qualification Cards should apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £29,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

Schedule: 12 hour shift

Experience: driving: 1 year (preferred)

PCV/HGV Fitter

We are looking to recruit a fully skilled person to maintain our fleet of buses and coaches in our modern DVSA approved workshop.

Although a PCV / HGV background would be advantageous, enthusiastic and experienced mechanics with a proven track record, who would like to broaden their knowledge and expand their career with some excellent training prospects would be considered.

An excellent rate of pay is offered to the successful applicant.
