Hampshire Delights

This tour explores the history of England's South Downs and the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth.

We stay on Hayling Island in the county of Hampshire, which offers easy travel to the delights of the county. During our stay we include excursions to the Bombay Sapphire Distillery, visit the Historic Dockyard and the Spinnaker Tower, offering breathtaking views, and take a return journey on the only passenger hovercraft service in the world.

Day 1

We depart this morning and travel through the English countryside with a lunch stop on the way. We arrive at our hotel in time to settle in before our evening meal.

Day 2

This morning after breakfast we join our coach and travel to the nearby maritime city of Portsmouth where on our arrival we explore this historic Naval Dockyard with its ships to visit (we include a ticket for this). A short walk in the afternoon brings you to the Spinnaker Tower where we include a return ride to its Sky deck viewing floor - on a clear day you can see up to 23 miles. Afterwards we rejoin the coach and travel back to the hotel.

Day 3

Today after breakfast we join our coach and travel first to historic city of Winchester, where you can wander its ancient streets or visit its famous Cathedral. In the afternoon we travel to the Bombay Sapphire Distillery in Whitchurch. Here you can learn about the skill and artistry of gin making using the flavours of botanicals and how they make it so unique. After a complimentary drink we return to our coach for the journey back to our hotel.

Day 4

After breakfast this morning we travel to the seaside town of Southsea where we enjoy a unique VIP experience with a trip on its Hovercraft. We travel across the Solent, passing around the forts used in the World War, to Ryde where on our arrival we are met by the pilot and take a tour of the Hovercraft. Afterwards there will be a couple of hours of free time to purchase lunch in Ryde before rejoining the hovercraft back to Southsea and then meeting our coach. After an enjoyable day we travel back to our hotel.

After breakfast we join our coach for the journey back home with a lunch stop before returning back to your joining point.

Hotel Accommodation: The Langstone Quays Resort, Hayling Island

This four star hotel overlooks Langstone Harbour on the northern shore of Hayling Island, which is linked to the mainland by a road bridge. The hotel’s facilities include a bar, restaurant and lounge, and it has an indoor pool, sauna and steam room. The bedrooms are en suite with hairdryer, television and tea/coffee making facilities.

Please Note: The hotel does have a lift and also some ground floor rooms available and we would advise these to be advised at the time of booking with our office.
