Isle of Wight Delights

Isle of Wight Delights

Just a short ferry ride across the Solent water lies the Isle of Wight, an island of natural beauty and many attractions often referred to as ‘England in Miniature’.

We stay on this popular island in the resort of Sandown with its sandy beach, promenade and zoo. We include excursions to Osborne House, which Queen Victoria called her “Palace by the Sea”, and we travel on the Isle of Wight Railway through the Islands’ countryside.

Day 1

We leave this morning and make our way to the south coast for our ferry to the Isle of Wight and our hotel.

Day 2

This morning we travel to the railway which travels across the Isle of Wight countryside. We board our train at Havenstreet station for a ride through its picturesque countryside before rejoining our coach and travelling to the town of Ryde where we spend the afternoon before travelling back to Sandown and our hotel. Time permitting we may be able to stop at the pretty village of Godshill.
