Just a short ferry ride across the Solent water lies the Isle of Wight, an island of natural beauty and many attractions often referred to as ‘England in Miniature’.
We stay on this popular island in the resort of Sandown with its sandy beach, promenade and zoo. We include excursions to Osborne House, which Queen Victoria called her Palace by the Sea, and we travel on the Isle of Wight Railway through the Islands countryside.
Day 1
We leave this morning and make our way to the south coast for our ferry to the Isle of Wight and our hotel.
Day 2
This morning we travel to the railway which travels across the Isle of Wight countryside. We board our train at Havenstreet station for a ride through its picturesque countryside before rejoining our coach and travelling to the town of Ryde where we spend the afternoon before travelling back to Sandown and our hotel. Time permitting we may be able to stop at the pretty village of Godshill.
B, DDay 3
Today is a free day to explore Shanklin and its neighbouring resort of Sandown
B, DDay 4
After breakfast we travel along the "Military Road", which is the road that runs along the south coast of the island. We stop at the Isle of Wight Pearl for a short break before we continue onto Alum Bay well known for its coloured sand. Afterwards we stop for a short break in the town of Yarmouth before travelling across the island to our hotel.
Day 5
After breakfast we travel to Osborne House which is called Queen Victoria's Palace by the Sea. Here you can glimpse into the royal families past life when they stayed at the house and you can also enjoy its gardens.
B, DDay 6
After breakfast we say farewell to our hotel and the Isle of Wight and cross the Solent back to the mainland, where we continue back to your joining point.

Accommodation Details: Trouville Hotel, Sandown
This three star hotel is located opposite the beach in the centre of Sandowns seafront offering views of the bay.
The hotels facilities include a restaurant, bar and lounge area. All the bedrooms (except the single rooms) have a sea view, a television, hairdryer and tea / coffee making facilities and served by a lift.
Please Note: The hotes has a limited availability of walk in showers. These rooms are located along the corridor, through 4/5 fire doors at the far end of the hotel so are not near the lift and are more difficult to access. They are also on the 2nd or 3rd floor. There is lift access to the floors.
